Explosion in Tkibuli mine

Explosion in a mine has killed one person in Tkibuli, Imereti region.
37-year-old Merab Kalandadze died and 4 others injured at about 01:00 last night.
Early reports say explosion was caused by methane leakage. Investigation is launched into the case. The reason of the explosion will become known in three days.

Lasha Makatsaria, governor of Imereti region, has already arrived at the scene of the accident. The government will cover all the expenses of their medical treatment and the funeral of the killed miner.
The Mindeli mine of Tkibuli has been operating since 1973. In 2010 two explosions took place in the mine. 6 persons died then.
